Hot, warm conditions compared to previous vintages saw harvest commence in early January. This resulted in optimum fruit ripeness of excellent quality from well-managed blocks in the Swan Valley.

WINEMAKING NOTES
Premium fruit parcels from our 1930 and 1963 blocks were carefully selected and handpicked for this wine. It was chilled to 12 degrees overnight, before being whole-bunch pressed to stainless tanks where it then spent 3 hours to settle in tank. The wine was transferred to 40% new French oak and 60% old French oak to continue its wild ferment. It then spent 7 months maturing in barrel on lees.

TASTING NOTES
This wine is an appealing pale straw with green hues in color. Expect to be greeted with delicious wafts of floral wildflower, green nashi pear and lemon wax, leading into a palate of honey lemon and citrus, finishing with subtle hints of vanilla from the oak influence.
