It’s been a busy couple of weeks as we completed harvesting the remainder of the whites from our Swan Valley vineyard. We harvested around 300-tonne of magnificent chenin blanc this season, with the tanks and barrels filling fast with this versatile variety.
The Arinto, which our vigneron, Matt Trent, describes as a ‘golden acid bomb’ has been harvested and by the quality of the fruit we have seen, this Mediterranean variety has found its home here in the Swan Valley.
The sun has continued to shine and the weather has remained dry and mild, which has allowed the fruit flavours to continue developing beautifully this vintage.
All the reds from our Swan Valley vineyard have now been harvested. This includes the Grenache, Shiraz, Montepulciano and the Spanish varietal, Mencia, which is used in our Gallery wines.
Fruit from our regional sites is now being harvested and arriving at the winery by the tonne.
